Vancouver Sleep Clinic - Vapour

Especially if you're a fan of Bon Iver or James Blake, this Australian Artist Tim Bettinson (aka Vancouver Sleep Clinic) hits all the right areas in his songs when it comes to atmospheric sounds.

Bon Iver - Flume

Bon Iver's music is pure, raw, beautiful emotion. The mastermind behind the music, and the founder of the band first found the inspiration for his style of song in the music of John Prine. He began to write and record the songs that became For Emma, when he moved into his father's hunting cabin in the wilderness of Wisconsin. Broke, he made the move from North Carolina to the remote cabin after the breakup of his first band, DeYarmond Edison, and his breakup with his girlfriend. Here he found the melancholy, ghostly, voice of his music.

St. Lucia - All Eyes On You

This one man band takes it's name from the small Caribbean island, St. Lucia. The name is appropriate for the surfing oriented band. The man behind the music, Jean-Philip Grobler, shows the depth and texture of his music in this catchy, dreamy song, All Eyes On You.

Kangaroo Court - Capital Cities

Excited to see this band tonight. This track was released as a single last year (2012), and their first full-album In a Tidal Wave of Mystery was released this year (2013).

The Night Vi - Thinking Of You

An Anglo-French six-piece male/female dynamic brings out the heart of "The Night Vi"'s melancholic rock. The track "Still thinking of you" is great (released in August, 2013). So here is "Thinking Of You".

Now, Now - Dead Oaks

This song is by the Minneapolis based band Now, Now. Dead Oaks was released as a single and can also be found on their 2012 album, Threads. Formerly and originally known as "Now, Now Every Children", they shortened the name to just "Now, Now", saying that they wanted to ditch any childish image anyone had of the band. About the song... Damn how I wish it were longer.

City and Colour - The Girl

The Paper Kites - Featherstone

Australia is turning out some really good bands these days. The Paper Kites hail from Melbourne, Australia and have turned out two excellent EPs. Woodland was released in 2011 and then Young North followed in 2012. This track is off Woodland. Their first full-length album is scheduled to be released this year (2013).

Indians - Magic Kids

Beach House - Myth and Zebra

Released in May, 2012 was Beach House's album "Bloom". Though this is our favorite, my brother and I agree on their music from their album "Teen Dream" (Released January, 2012) to be harmony heavy. Here is a song from each. The first is from "Bloom" and the second is from "Teen Dream".

Whitley - My Heart Is Not A Machine

Such a great song.

Radiation City - Zombies

Canto - You Know

Canto, a band of brothers, Seamus (guitar/vocals), Aidan (Bass), and David (drums) Blackwell. All under 21 years old their music shows talent beyond their age. Canto is just released an album a couple months ago titled Ride Away. This track "You Know" is off that album. You can find it on iTunes. Like them on Facebook if you wanna be able to say you knew them before they were popular https://www.facebook.com/CantoTheBand/app_178091127385

Dawes - That Western Skyline

My friends and I have watched these guys grow from a tiny bar band to the popular indie band they are now. Their album sound is great but they have always been amazing live.
